Newtech Channels of Distribution

Through our years of operation and business we have built a solid channel of distribution and different levels of partnerships based on solid relationships. We have helped partners identify opportunities and incentivise them to specialise in pre identified areas, in order to service their customer base better and diversify from other competitors. In this manner we have managed to achieve different specialisations and avoid channel conflicts.

There are three main reasons why we believe our partners could benefit from earning a competency:

  1. Differentiate their business in today’s competitive environment.
  2. Set their company apart from the competition by demonstrating proven experience and skills to customers.
  3. Capitalise on benefits specific to their area of expertise that are aligned to the business life cycle.
  4. Achieving competencies will help partners capitalise on a range of benefits for all stages of their business life cycle and as they invest more in the partner relationship, Newtech recognises their commitment with higher-value benefits.

These benefits will help them:

  1. Plan and evaluate prospective investments with business modelling tools.
  2. Enable their company to get a competitive edge with early access to the latest software.
  3. Run their business and test compatibility with solutions and strengthen staff expertise with business and technical training.
  4. Create demand with customers using marketing campaigns, directories and a recognisable brand.
  5. Increase sales with compelling presentations, demos, financing and rewards programs.
  6. Improve customer service with deep technical support and accelerate the sales cycle with advisory services.
  7. Retain customers and improve satisfaction with feedback from online surveys.
  8. Align their business with Vendors

They can rely on the vendors —both as a lasting partner into the future and one that will work closely with to drive mutual success in the market. Recent research shows that partners with a higher level of engagement are more highly satisfied and demonstrate healthy business growth and profitability. These same partners report larger deal sizes than their peers while keeping sales cycles to an appropriate length.

Our vision for our Partner Network is simple, to provide our partners with:

  • Opportunities to strengthen their capabilities.
  • Expertise to better serve customers
  • Connections with customers and other partners

Adding Value in a Competitive Industry

This month we direct our focus at JJ Miceli Demajo, the young and upcoming Managing

Director of Newtech (Malta)

TEU: How competitive, in your view, is the industry you work in and are you limited to local competition or even foreign?

JJMD: Over the last four years the Maltese government has adopted a drive and strategy towards an ICT industry in Malta, SMART ISLAND. Due to this the ICT sector and its players have been given more importance in the Maltese economy. This has given ICT companies more opportunities for growth in the market and has generated further interest for individuals and businesses to create ICT start-ups. The increase in ICT players in the market reflects the increase in competition on the local market. Since Malta joined the EU, this has removed trade barriers between countries therefore competition has increased from overseas. Nevertheless, competition is healthy and drives companies to give greater value to their clients through a higher quality of service, as well as focusing on innovation that make your offerings to the market more attractive. …read more »
